Agent: Brighi not interested in Viola

Vanni Puzzolo has shot down rumours that his client, Matteo Brighi, is fed up with Roma and is plotting a move to Fiorentina in January.

"Matteo is doing well in Rome and the Giallorossi want to keep him," Puzzolo explained to Romanews.eu.

"I understand that the new coach [Claudio Ranieri] is a fan of his, so I don't see any doubts [on his future] there.

"Of course, the market is unpredictable. For the moment, I can categorically deny that my client could leave, that he wants to leave or that there is a desire on the part of the Giallorossi that he should leave.

"I can also deny the interest on the part of Fiorentina," he concluded.

Brighi put up consistently great performances for the Giallorossi last season, scoring some key goals in his 44 appearances for the club in the previous campaign.

The 28-year-old is hoping for a new deal from Roma, and is keen to start talks soon.
