Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will start David Suazo in place of the recovering Samuel Eto’o against Genoa this Saturday.

Mourinho did not name his full starting XI for the game during his pre-game press announcement, but he did let on that Eto'o was listed as a doubt.

"He isn't ready yet," Mourinho declared. "He has to train and then we will see if he can play. I don't know who will play tomorrow as we have not had all our players available during the week.

"As for Suazo, he is a fast player who becomes dangerous in space, and so the game against Genoa could be his. It will be an open game against Genoa. A two-sided match."

Diego has also been ruled out, leading to suggestions that Mario Balotelli will feature alongside Suazo, but the 'Special One' refused to confirm his line-up.

"I saw Balotelli play with the Italy Under-21s and he is a player like everyone else," concluded the coach.
