Amauri: Could have done better!

Juventus striker Amauri was happy with his goal against Fiorentina but less pleased with the final result.

The Turin giants started the game well but were stunned by a goal from Juan Manuel Vargas barely five minutes into the game.

Juve piled on the pressure after going behind and were rewarded with an equaliser when Vincenzo Iaquinta put Amauri through to level things up.

The home side went on to create several chances but failed to secure three points.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the game, Amauri said:
"Surely I missed the goals going in, but I have always played well,

"September was peculiar month for me as I went seven games out of seven without scoring. However, I am happy for the goal I scored, but less pleased with the result, we could have done better."

Amauri refused to dwell on the result of the game and wants his team to move on and forget the past.

He said: "We don't win? Well, we have to get out of this moment. We have to think about Wednesday now in the Champions League as we have an important game and close this one."

Juventus' next game will be on Wednesday night against Maccabi Haifa.
