Claudio Pasqualin, one of Italy’s best football agents, has claimed that Goran Pandev will sign for Inter Milan.

Pandev has filed a request to terminate his contract with Lazio by mutual consent after several bust-ups with Biancocelesti supermo Claudio Lotito, and it appears that a deal is close to being agreed upon.

"I believe that this operation will almost certainly come to a successful conclusion, even if 'never say never' is the transfer market's motto," Pasqualin explained to 24oredisport.

"I think it's a good opportunity for the player, to return to work for a great team, and for president Lotito who can cash in [on Pandev] and not make further losses.

"Considering that [Samuel] Eto'o will be at the African Cup of Nations, even though they are two different strikers, I think it could accelerate the transfer."

The Macedonian striker has not made a single appearance for Lazio in the current campaign after lashing out at management in the offseason, with the team's leaders labeling the striker as a 'rebel' along with team-mate Cristian Ledesma.

Ledesma has been linked with Fiorentina in a move that is set to be sealed in January.
