Bari 2-0 Lazio
Goals from Paolo Barreto and Riccardo Meggiorini secured all three points for Bari as 10-man Lazio's Serie A misery continued.
The Rome club have not won in the league since August 30 as their winless run stretched to seven games with this latest defeat, which took their tally to three defeats and four draws in that time.
To make matters worse for the visitors they had substitute Ousmane Dabo sent off with eight minutes remaining.
A clean sheet for Bari also kept their impressive defensive record to just five goals conceded in nine games since promotion to the top flight in the summer.
It took the home side just 11 minutes to open the scoring and they went on to easily claim the three points as Lazio struggled to create clear-cut chances in front of goal.
Barreto opened his side's account when Sergio Almiron played a ball over the top of the defence and Barreto timed his run to perfection, beating the out-rushing goalkeeper Fernando Muslera to the ball before scoring.
Almiron then tried his own luck in front of goal but his shot from over 30 yards out saw the ball go wide of the post.
Bari continued to dominate and Barreto set up the next chance, holding the ball up in the area before laying it back for Riccardo Allegretti who fired over the bar.
Lazio's first attempt on goal did not come until 36 minutes into the game but Argentinian Mauro Zarate was denied.
Zarate shot from 30 yards out but Bari goalkeeper Gael Gillet was equal to the effort and tipped the ball around the post for a corner.
Two minutes later Bari's Massimo Donati displayed great footwork as he beat three Lazio players before crossing from the left but the danger was cleared by the defence.
With five minutes remaining in the first half Allegretti tried to lob Muslera from the edge of the area but his effort sent the ball just over the bar.
On the stroke of half-time Vitaly Kutuzov created an opening for Almiron but he failed to make the most of the chance and sent his shot wide.
Bari went close to doubling their lead early in the second half only to be denied by the woodwork.
A counter-attack by the home side presented Edgar Alvarez with a chance and he cut inside from the right but hit the ball against the post as Muslera closed him down.
Muslera came to his side's rescue when he saved from Andrea Masiello.
Good approach work from Almiron and Kutuzov presented Masiello with a chance to shoot but his effort brought a save out of Muslera.
Kutuzov was again the architect of the chance as Bari doubled their lead after 69 minutes.
Meggiorini received the ball from Kutuzov before shooting left-footed into the top left corner.
Meggiorini went close to scoring again after being set up by Vladimir Konan.
But Meggiorini failed to hit the target with his shot from the centre of the area.
With eight minutes to go Lazio were reduced to 10 men as Dabo was shown a straight red card for a foul on Alvarez which saw several players squaring up to each other before the referee restored order.
