Inter owner happy for Milan

Inter owner Massimo Moratti has insisted he is happy for city rivals AC Milan after their recent resurgence.

"I hope that Milan remain our chief antagonist, but stay at the same distance for the rest of the season," Moratti said according to football-italia.net.

"Anyway, we knew at the start of the championship that this Milan side is a dangerous team."

AC Milan's shock win at Real Madrid sent them top of Group C in the Champions League. In contrast, Inter are struggling in their group, currently bottom after their 2-2 draw with Dynamo Kiev.

Moratti, who made no secret of winning the Champions League title as his priority, replied: "It's normal that unfortunately in life you can't have everything.

"But I believe that beyond the psychology, one of the secrets, like Mourinho said, is rotation that allows us to have fresh players."

Moratti then denied being angry after Inter's 2-2 draw at home to Dynamo Kiev.

"Perhaps you are confused with last year's draw against Manchester United. This time I didn't make any kind of scene, because in the end I understood that the game went rather well.

"Anyway it's still not the decisive moment. There is still time to do well," Moratti concluded.
