Ferrara: Fans don't make decisions

Ciro Ferrara refuted claims that Juventus fans have no say in which players the club decides to bring in.

This came after allegations that Internazional's Dejan Stankovic opted to sign for the Milan side instead of Juve because of fans' protests.

Even former Juve boss, Claudio Ranieri revealed that this was the reason for the Serb not joining the club.

Corriere dello Sport reported that Ferrara denied the allegations at a press conference on Tuesday.

Ferrara said: "I don't regret that Stankovic wasn't bought, he is doing well but I'm happy with the players I've got,

"The situation isn't like Ranieri said, considering that I've been in Turin for 15 years and Juve have never been stopped by the fans. The case of [Fabio] Cannavaro shows this."

Juventus take on a high-flying Sampdoria side in midweek hoping to keep up their chase of league leaders, Inter.
