"Taddei should've bitten his tongue"
Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has blasted Rodrigo Taddei for failing to control his emotions and earning a red card.
Four minutes into the second half, winger Taddel took a hand to the face from Gokhan Inler, but then saw red for dissent as he remonstrated with the assistant referee.
"He says he was hit in the face, but evidently he said something to the linesman," said Ranieri, according to football-italia.net.
"There are no justifications for such a thing, Taddei should've bitten his tongue."
But Ranieri remains "optimistic" that Roma can achieve something this season
"In any case the lads will emerge from this difficult time. I have a fantastic set of players and they are putting all the effort in. They're playing the same way they did in the past and had success, whereas now they don't win and can't figure out why."
