Milan's Huntelaar tipped to come good

AC Milan head coach Leonardo believes striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar can still make his mark in Italy.

The Dutch forward, who has made only five starts for Milan this season, has failed to shine since his summer move from Real Madrid, and has even been linked with a move away from the Serie A giants when the next transfer window opens in January.

Despite Huntelaar's indifferent form, Leonardo believes the 25-year-old has a future with the Rossoneri.

"I have seen him be very calm. Goals are fundamental to a striker and it is normal, having only arrived this year, that he is being judged," Leonardo said.

"I am sure that his moment will arrive."

Milan are looking to bounce back against Parma on Saturday following Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Napoli, a game in which they were leading 2-0 until two last gasp goals earned Napoli a share of the spoils.

"On Saturday I expect the fans to be happy and that they will support us until the end," the Brazilian declared.

"There is still a bitter taste in the mouth following Wednesday's draw at Napoli, but at the moment we shouldn't be making any mathematical calculations, but evaluating every performance for what we have managed to express.

"I don't believe we ended up drawing because of tactics, but for the emotions of the game. Perhaps if I had substituted Abate before I would have avoided the draw, but taking off a full-back would have revolutionised the team so I brought on Borriello."
