Livorno vs Inter Milan Preview
Livorno defender Martin Miglionico believes a huge task lies ahead for the club as they take on Serie A leaders Inter Milan on Sunday.
Livorno have turned their season around since the arrival of coach Serse Cosmi earlier this month, but their two-game unbeaten run will face the sternest of tests against Jose Mourinho's side in the Stadio Armando Picchi.
Having lost five of their opening eight games the Amaranto followed up their first win of the season against Roma with a 1-0 defeat of Atalanta on Wednesday.
Miglionico, who scored the winner against Atalanta, said: "The tactical change given by Cosmi has made us more aggressive and less defensive on the pitch."
However, he warned of the challenge they face against Inter.
"We must remain humble for we have a huge challenge on our hands this weekend against Inter Milan."
Mourinho has injury concerns but expects his side to continue their good work in the league after their 5-3 win over Palermo in the San Siro on Thursday.
Inter chief of medical staff Franco Combi reassured fans that Samuel Eto'o and Mario Balotelli were fine following the win over Palermo and are expected to be available to face Livorno.
He told the Inter Channel: "I thought that Samuel had suffered a sprain, but it was an acute pain when he took the shot, a momentary pain that exploded suddenly.
"Mario already had a fever before the game and then he had an allergic reaction to a medicine. His fever rose and he took an anti-inflammatory. The reaction frightened him, but he's fine now."
Eto'o was also unconcerned about his injury. He said: "Nothing particular happened.
"I'm having my treatment and the effect of the pain-killer had worn off. I felt a sudden pain when I was ready to shoot."
Eto'o admitted that Inter had been given a shock by Palermo after being 4-0 ahead before winning 5-3.
He added: "It was a match with two faces, but we got the victory and this is the most important thing. We learned that a match can reopen even when you're 4-0 up."
The Cameroon striker also praised Balotelli for his willingness to play despite illness.
"Balotelli played a great match. He wasn't well but he wanted to be on the pitch. He's a very strong player and he has all the qualities to be number one, but he can still improve a lot. He has to set goals for himself."
Eto'o admitted he was not concerned by his lack of goals away from the San Siro as victory for the team was the priority.
He added: "When will I score away from San Siro? The team is more important than me. The important thing is that one of us scores."
