John Arne Riise refuted claims that he will be leaving AS Roma for a move back to former club Liverpool.

The Norwegian left-back was an angry man when quizzed about a report on News of the World which claimed that he had demanded a move back to Liverpool.

Speaking through Roma's press office, Riise said: "I never said I wanted to return to Liverpool and I never made those statements," Riise said via the Giallorossi press office.

"I am settled here in Rome and I want to stay.".

Despite getting more playing time under Claudio Ranieri, Riise has failed to make the desired impact since joining the Giallorossi.
