Inter Milan captain, Javier Zanetti, reckons his side should have gotten all three points against AS Roma.

The Argentine was keen to point out that it was two points dropped rather than one point gained.

Inter went a goal down in the 13th minute with Mirko Vucinic giving Roma the lead but Samuel Eto'o managed to find the back of the net in the second-half to level the score.

Inter went on in search of the winner but failed to break down a solid Roma defence.

Speaking to the Inter Channel after the game, Zanetti said:"I do not think that this is a fair result for us tonight,

"After their goal, we picked up our game and tried to surprise our opponents with every opportunity we had. Maybe something went wrong for us, but this can happen when you're searching for the lead.

"The important thing was that our intention was always to try and win the match, and I feel that we could have easily done so."

The veteran also refused to blame his side's performance on fatigue since the club had to travel to Ukraine to take on Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

He added: "Fatigue? I do not think that was the problem for us, even though we are coming off a number of consecutive games.

"Again, we did all we could tonight, and we tried to win, but failed to do so. There are no excuses.

"Juventus and Milan? They were there before, and they will both be there until the very last day of the season."
