Inter keeper signs new deal
Inter Milan keeper Julio Cesar has inked a new contract with the club - keeping him at the San Siro until 2014.
The Brazilian number one emerged all smiles from a meeting with vice-president Rinado Ghelfi and technical director Marco Branca yesterday, declaring he was delighted to have secured his long-term future to the Nerazzurri.
Speaking to the club's official website the 30-year-old stopper said "I'm very happy and I want to thank president [Massimo] Moratti and the entire club.
"I have already won so much with Inter, but our strength is to continue to work to reach many new goals. Now I want to celebrate with many new victories!"
Cesar signed for Inter in 2005 from Brazilian club Flamengo, replacing Francesco Toldo as first choice goalkeeper - and has subsequently made over 150 appearances in all competitions.
He has enjoyed considerable success both domestically and internationally - winning four Scudetti with Inter and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup with Brazil.
