Bigon: Napoli are not spending
Napoli have declared they will not be buying new players when the January transfer window reopens.
This news is a surprise to many as Napoli have been expected to sign at least two players, according to football-italia.net.
Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni and Liverpool left-back Andreas Dossena are the most prominent names linked with Napoli.
Toni was involved with a row with Bayern Munich last week when he left the stadium after being substituted. While for Dossena, the former Udinese left-back has been struggling to secure a first-team spot with the Anfield side.
Speaking to Marte Sport Live, Bigon said: “The attack will be the only area in which we won't intervene, because it's where we have numbers and quality.”
Finally Bigon was asked about reports linking Napoli with a move for Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena.
“It would be hypocritical of me to say that he isn't a good player, but I am not the only one who says so, his career speaks volumes as well,” Bigon concluded.
