Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar believes his recent contract renewal will help rejuvenate his form.

The Brazilian has been a little shaky between the sticks at times this season, but has a renewed sense of confidence after being granted a contract extension at the San Siro.

Speaking to La Gazzetta Dello Sport the keeper said "Before the renewal I was not feeling at all relaxed.

"You try not to think about certain things, but in the end you think about them anyway. It was a strange period which was ugly. I made mistakes, but now you will see the real Cesar.

"I am happy with the renewal. I think I deserved it and I hope to carry on winning with Inter."

Cesar will need to ensure he is sharp and ready for when Inter play Barcelona in the Champions League. However, he knows that nothing can prepare him for the magic of Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"You cannot study those two players as they are capable of inventing anything with improvisation," concluded the Brazilian.
