Candreva to return after loan

Udinese expect young talent Antonio Candreva to return to the club next season after his loan stint at Livorno.

The 22-year-old midfielder has attracted attention from several European clubs having proved to be one of the revelations in Italy's top flight.

"Antonio is on a temporary loan at Livorno but at the end of the season we absolutely want him to come back home," said Udinese general director Sergio Gasparin.

"He is part of the Udinese program.

"Antonio is a midfielder able to cover any role, with important physical and individual qualities.

"He is a player who has a great future ahead of him.

"Antonio has been making headlines and the lad deserves it having had an extraordinary start to the campaign."

Candreva has played 11 league games for Livorno in his first season in Serie A.

He made his Italy debut in Saturday's goalless draw against Holland.
