D'Agostino eager to play Juventus
Gaetano D’Agostino is gearing up for a grudge match against Juventus when Udinese travel to the Stadio Olimpico to play the Bianconeri.
D'Agostino was close to signing with the club in the offseason when Juve pulled the plug on negotiations and acquired Felipe Melo from Fiorentina.
D'Agostino has revealed that he does not resent anyone from the Old Lady, but has decided to become a thorn in their side for choosing Melo over him.
"I would be denying things if I said that what happened in the summer didn't leave me indifferent. It was Juventus who changed their strategy with me," the midfielder told Tuttosport.
"I used to read so much about how I was a Juventus player, but it's all in the past now. I am fully focussed on Udinese and if I look back it's with pride that I came close to [joining] a major club."
D'Agostino confirmed that Udinese are travelling to Turin to grab a win.
"Playing Juventus is always a good motivation. We need points and consistency and I want to be there to play them," concluded D'Agostino.
