Juventus playmaker Diego is confident his side can catch league leaders Inter and fight for the Scudetto.

Jose Mourinho's men have moved eight points clear of Juve following their win over Bologna last night, but Diego is confident that his team can close the gap starting with tonight's home encounter with Udinese.

Speaking on his own website the influential Brazilian said "We are playing at home this weekend and our objective is to catch Inter.

"It will be a difficult game against Udinese, just like any other game in Italy as the league is very balanced."

Diego scored against Udinese last season with Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup, and is hoping for a repeat performance.

"Hopefully I will score another goal, that way it would be perfect," he concluded.
