Gilardino: Parma deserved the win
Alberto Gilardino reckons Parma deserved their 3-2 win over an unlucky Fiorentina side.
The Italian striker scored two goals for Fiorentina but was unable to prevent Parma from collecting all three points.
There were some contreversial refereeing calls in the game but Gilardino wants his team to focus on their next game rather than lament about the loss.
Speaking to Sky after the game, Gilardino said:"We've lost at the end of an incredible match. They played to win and scored three goals so they deserved it.
"We wanted to get points but we couldn't do it, we left behind too much space, we should have been more careful."
"I don't want to talk about it (referee's calls), the images will tell all. Now let's think about the match against Lyon."
Gilardino will hope to continue his good form to secure a place in Marcelo Lippi's Italian squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa next year.
