Moggi: Zeman is a liar

Luciano Moggi has come out strongly to refute accusations made against him in a recent Calciopoli hearing at Naples.

Former Roma and Lazio coach Zdenek Zeman had insisted during the hearing that Moggi had prevented him from succeeding in the Serie A.

The former Juventus director, has refuted the claims made against him and insisted that Zeman's failings were because of his own inadequacies.

He vented his frustrations to Gold Sport: "Have you heard the testimony of Zeman in the trial?"

"It's clear that he's a liar who suffers from complexes. He says that I ruined his career by making him join Napoli?

"If all my enemies got two and a a half million net lire for little more than a month of work, I don't think I'd have any more friends.

"The truth is that he is no longer calm when he speaks. You realise that he said he was the best coach in Europe, but had never won anything and that it was my fault he wasn't a coach any more?

"His spells in Turkey and Serbia, so then, was my system also there?"

The Czech born Italian coach spent a season with Fenerbahce after leaving Roma in 1999, while his last job in football was a brief stint with Red Star Belgrade in 2008.
