More to come for Borriello

More to come for Borriello

Marco Borriello is happy with his display during Milan's exciting 4-3 win over Cagliari.

Although he scored one and helped create the other three goals, Borriello prefers to be remembered for his performance and hopes coach Leonardo takes notice.

"My first objective is that of playing for the performance, not mainly to score," explained the former Genoa player to Milan Channel.

"I'm interested that the team hears me, the public sees me and the coach appreciates what I do on the pitch, then if the goal arrives it's more than welcome.

"Right now I feel calm, but I know that I must always prove something, because I play in a team like Milan, I wear an important shirt which was worn by players who made history and for this reason I go on the pitch and give my best for this shirt."

Milan are seven points behind Inter and two points behind Juventus in the title race after 13 matches played.
