AS Roma have refuted reports that Daniele De Rossi is packing his bags for Real Madrid or Chelsea in the January transfer window.

De Rossi is reported to be high of the wishlist of both Los Merengues and the Blues.

But the Giallorossi have moved to announce that the defensive midfielder is staying at the Stadio Olimpico for the foreseeable future.

"These are baseless rumours, Rossi is absolutely unsellable," Roma's technical director Bruno Conti told the Corriere dello Sport.

"He won't go either to Chelsea or Real Madrid, nor elsewhere.

"De Rossi is a player of Roma today, tomorrow and after tomorrow - I don't think there is much else to add."
