Iaquinta aiming for January return

Iaquinta aiming for January return

Vincenzo Iaquinta has claimed that he will make this comeback in January, once he feels his knee has recovered sufficiently from surgery.

Juventus are hoping that the striker can return to the fold as soon as possible, as the team is finding it hard to score goals at the moment.

The recovery is going well," Iaquinta told sportmediaset.it.

"Now I just need a bit of patience and to wait that the knee deflates, to start running again, in about a week's time.

"Then, depending how it will respond once the normal workload resumes, we will evaluate the moment of return. I hope to be at 100% for January."

Juventus take on Inter Milan next weekend, but Iaquinta has urged his Bianconeri team-mates to secure all three points against Cagliari before looking to that showdown.

"First there's Cagliari, against whom we must raise our heads," he continued.

"On December 5 there will be a very important game against Inter, but first we must think about the other games."
