Parma vs Napoli Preview
Francesco Guidolin is adamant that survival in Serie A remains the sole aim of his fifth-place Parma side.
Parma became only the second side this season to come away with victory from Fiorentina's Artemio Franchi Stadium after a 3-2 win last weekend, but coach Guidolin is not getting ahead of himself.
"To avoid relegation it is important to pick up points on the road as well," he said.
"We did just that at Fiorentina, where we won against a great side.
"We remained calm and were always in the game.
"We know we must continue like this as the road towards salvation is a long one."
Few would have predicted that Parma, who gained promotion to the top flight this summer, would enjoy such a great start to the campaign.
Their impressive start sees them one point behind Sampdoria, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.
However, midfielder Stefano Morrone believes the secret of Parma's success has been the team's unity and self-belief.
"We are newly promoted and we are doing great things," he said.
"We showed a lot of character against Fiorentina and I think this win will give us an added boost in confidence for the future.
"The group is making the difference: everyone, when they are called upon, they give their best."
The Ducale side will fancy their chances of claiming maximum points tomorrow having won five and lost once at the Ennio Tardini Stadium this season.
Morrone concurred with his coach and is also not looking further than survival.
"Our aim remains to defend our Serie A status," said Morrone.
"We are still 17 points away from our season objective, which is to claim 40 points.
"The sooner we reach that mark, the better it will be, only then we will see where we go from there."
Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has urged his players to keep up the good work as they look to return to winning ways at Parma.
The Partenopei dropped to ninth in the standings after being held to a goalless draw by Lazio last weekend.
"Against Lazio, there was only Napoli on the pitch for long periods of the match," said Mazzarri.
"I saw the lads squash their opponents, close Lazio in their own box, and we did not concede any counter attacks.
"We just need to keep working hard and we will soon be rewarded for our efforts."
Napoli remain unbeaten since October 4 but have claimed just two wins since then.
Lack of goalscoring has been Napoli's main problem, having failed to find the net in their last two league games.
Mazzarri will have all of his players available, with the exception of defender Leandro Rinaudo, who serves his first of a three-match ban.
Salvatore Aronica returns from suspension and will replace Rinaudo.
Parma midfielder Daniele Galloppa is suspended while McDonald Mariga and Alberto Paloschi are out through injury.
