Huntelaar: This can be turning point

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar feels his season is about to change after scoring both Milan goals in their 2-0 win over Catania.

The match was heading to a 0-0 draw until Huntelaar intervened with two sweetly-taken goals - one with his right and the other his left foot.

"We really wanted to win the game and in the end we did it," he grinned on Sky Italia television after a 2-0 victory in Catania.

According to reports, the Dutchman had been hotly tipped to leave the Italians after a disappointing start to life in Serie A.

In stoppages he netted a brace, including an inspired lob, to put Milan into second place.

"I worked hard to play and to score, so I'm very happy it finally went in and hope things will keep getting better like this.

"Everybody was happy for me and we all celebrated together, so I feel very much a part of this group."

As for the rumours of a January transfer, Huntelaar was eager to cast those aside.

"I told everybody in the club I play for Milan, will fight here and tonight was a really nice moment.

"It was difficult at the start, we didn't play well and neither did I, but I am working hard and hopefully this can be the turning point."
