Francesco Totti extends contract
Roma captain Francesco Totti has signed a new contract and is also eying a return to the international scene with Italy.
Totti has revealed to skysports.com that he has agreed to a contract extension with Roma.
"We signed the papers and are just waiting for Roma to deposit it," said Totti.
"The club will decide when to do that. We are waiting for the right moment."
While his club future is being sorted, Totti also wants to reconsider his international future as well.
There has been calls for Totti to come out of international retirement for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Italy have just been named as one of the top seeds for the draw on Friday.
Totti quit playing for Italy after the 2006 World Cup success, but he will make a decision on any possible return with Marcello Lippi's side next April.
"Everybody is talking about this but in the end Lippi and I will make the decision," revealed Totti.
"I like the fact that Lippi talks well about me, we always had a great relationship on and off the pitch.
"The veterans asked me to return. March or April will be the decisive month to see how I feel."
