Philippe Mexes has declared that two wins out of their next two matches is of the highest importance to AS Roma.

The Lupi have a crucial game against Basel in the Europa League before the derby showdown against Lazio in Rome on Sunday.

"We work to get results, no matter who plays," Mexes told sportal.it.

"The important thing is that the team wins. We work well together, we are a good group."

Roma and Lazio have had a good number of classics in their derbies. Mexes believes that his Roma team-mates have to calm themselves down to stay focused on the game.

"The derby is won mostly with the head, because even if it is a match different from any other, it still affects the rankings. Anyways, I feel calm," concluded the French centre-back.
