Serie A Weekend Preview
Carlo Ancelotti is no longer roving the touchline as the coach of AC Milan but he cannot help but look at Serie A from afar.
That is especially true when two giants go head to head, as will happen on Saturday when league leaders Inter Milan face Juventus.
The Chelsea manager admits it is going to be difficult for any side to stop Inter from capturing a fifth straight Scudetto, yet he has warned Juve not to show too much respect to the Nerazzurri or else they will end up "fried".
"I see a very level match, perhaps a draw," Ancelotti said.
"I'm not saying that Juve cannot win, but if they play with fear they will be fried.
"I see no weaknesses at Inter.
"Inter was and still is the number one favourite to win the scudetto.
"I know that Juve has some problems now but they are third and I see no reason why they should despair."
Juve are indeed struggling, having lost 2-0 at Cagliari last weekend to fall eight points behind Inter.
A victory for Juve in Turin would benefit Ancelotti's former club AC Milan, who moved ahead of Juve into second place last week.
Should Inter lose, Milan could pull to within four points of the league leaders if they were to win their own game against Sampdoria on Saturday.
The Rossoneri, who are now coached by Leonardo, go into the encounter at the San Siro on the back of four straight wins.
The game in Turin will not be the only heavyweight showdown in Italy this weekend.
Roma host strugglers Lazio in the Eternal City derby on Sunday night.
Lazio have had a nightmare campaign.
The Biancoceleste have not won in the league since August 30 and are just one point above the drop zone.
They also go into the match having crashed out of the Europa League this week.
In-form Parma, meanwhile, will look to defend fifth place in the standings when they meet Genoa.
Parma, who were promoted this season, have lost just once at home and are one-point clear of Genoa in the standings.
Cagliari are red hot and will try to end Palermo's season-long unbeaten run at home.
The Sardinian outfit go into the encounter having claimed five wins in their last six games.
Fiorentina have suffered defeats to Parma and Inter, setbacks that dropped Cesare Prandelli's side to 10th, but they will be favourites against Atalanta.
Catania expect to claim their first win on the road this season when they take on bottom-side Siena in Tuscany.
Napoli will be bolstered by the return of striker Ezequiel Lavezzi for Sunday's match against Bari.
Lavezzi missed last weekend's 1-1 draw to Parma with a muscular injury.
The azzurri are unbeaten in eight league games but they will be tested by a Bari side that is one point ahead of them in the standings.
Having ended a seven-match winless streak in last weekend's 2-0 triumph over Livorno, 12th-place Udinese will travel to Bologna searching for their first win away from home.
Serse Cosmi's Livorno will expect to climb out of the relegation zone by claiming all three points against Chievo on Sunday.
The promoted club sit 18th in the standings, level on 12 points with Atalanta.
