Juventus officially denied they have lined up Russia coach Guus Hiddink as a replacement for Ciro Ferrara.

According to the Daily Mail, Hiddink's agent, Cees van Nieuwenhuizen, had claimed that Juve had been in contact with the Dutchman to take over the reins from the inexperienced Ferrara.

But Juventus have issued an official denial through their website.

"We have never taken into consideration any trainer because Ciro Ferrara enjoys our utmost trust," a statement released on Juventus's official website read.

Ferrara is under increasing pressure after leading Juventus to four defeats in their last five games, the most costly coming against Bayern Munich as it knocked the Turin giants out of the Champions League.
