Juventus are on the verge of swooping for Real Madrid midfielder Guti, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A giants are currently tracking Lazio ace Cristian Ledesma, but are ready to make a move for Guti should the €5 million deal fall through, the Il Corriere Dello Sport has revealed.

The newspaper went on to say that Guti would join Juventus on a free at the end of the current season.

Guti has spent all of his career at the Bernabeu, but has been increasingly marginalised under head coach Manuel Pellegrini and is now believed to want out.

According to Sportmediaset.it the 33-year-old has even called up former Blancos team-mate Wesley Sneijder to help him engineer a move to the Italian giants.
