Lazio rout sparks Ballardini praise

2010 seems to have turned the fortunes of Lazio around, when the Aquile ran riot over strugglers Livorno.

Coach Davide Ballardini had nothing but words of praise for his team that finished the match as 4-1 winners.

Speaking to SkySport, the Italian said, ""We had the right attitude today. My men covered the pitch well and the victory was well deserved for the efforts of all the players today."

Striker Sergio Floccari who marked his debut with a brace also deserved some praise from his coach:

"[Tommaso] Rocchi can't link up play on his own; it's simply not one of his characteristics. We needed a player such as [Sergio] Floccari who goes deep and allows Tommaso to pick up the second balls.

"Floccari has given us some added quality and physique up top and the effects of this were there for all to see in the second half this afternoon.

"With regards to the transfer market there are still many things that we must resolve on the arrivals and departures front. I believe we still need about four more players to start being fully competitive again."
