Diego insists that the 3-0 win against Napoli in the Coppa Italia is the “start of a new era” for Juventus.

The Brazilian maestro was delighted with his contribution in the match, after being called out in the press in the past few weeks.

"I am happy about my performance," the 24-year-old said. "But most of all, that of my team. We won, and we also had fun.

"I hope that this victory can be the start of a new era for us. We lose together, and we win together, and together, we will pull ourselves out of this situation."

Diego also confirmed that the players did hold a meeting after their crushing loss against AC Milan over last weekend.

"It was something that allowed the players to speak freely, and it did us good," Diego concluded.
