AS Roma striker Julio Baptista is negotiating with Serie A leaders Inter Milan for a move to the San Siro, according to his agent.

Alessandro Lucci, Baptista's agent told fcinter1908.it that talks with Inter were in progress and there was hope of the deal being completed sometime within the next two weeks.

"Baptista to Inter? We are working on this objective. There is something, but we need some time. We have to evaluate certain situations," the agent told the website.

There had been reports saying that Nicolas Burdisso, currently on loan at the Stadio Olimpico from Inter, would be included in the transfer deal. However, Lucci has denied these claims.

"Burdisso? The deal involving another player is not the solution we are looking at."

"It's all a question of time, so we have to wait. I hope we can resolve the situation by the end of the month."
