Preziosi: No interest in Ledesma

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has denied claims that the club is interested in acquiring the services of Lazio’s Cristian Ledesma.

The president believes that the player will remain with his current club and Lazio's president Claudio Lotito wants to sit down with the player and discuss the necessary issues.

The Genoa head honcho was on Radio Sei discussing the issues at hand: "Ledesma to Genoa for [Alberto] Zapater? Not at the moment, as we have not tabled any negotiations. I think that the player will remain at Lazio.

"I also think that Lotito wants to sit down with him and discuss things, and possibly extend his contract.

"I have not received any communication from Lotito, but should Claudio call me because he needs a player, and Ledesma becomes involved in the negotiatons, I will not hold myself back.

"Ledesma is a player of international quality, and we would be interested in having a player like him at Genoa," Preziosi insisted.
