Adrian Mutu is set to be omitted from the Fiorentina squad for the rest of their Champions League campaign.

UEFA need teams to send in their squad list ahead of the knock-out stages in February and the Viola will leave out Mutu.

This comes after the Romanian twice failed to pass a drugs test. Reports indicate that Fiorentina are unwilling to take a chance on him as he is likely to receive a doping ban from the football authorities.

According to reports, Viola director Pantaleo Corvino revealed that the new squad list could include new signings Felipe, Mario Bolatti and Keirrison.
