Francesco Totti hailed his AS Roma team-mates after seeing them edge out Fiorentina 1-0 and rise to second place in the Serie A.

Totti made his return from injury in this game, but was replaced at halftime by Julio Baptista. Mirko Vucinic scored with minutes from time to continue the Giallorossi's unbeaten run, which is now at 19 games in all competition.

"It's a great result which is worth double because we faced an excellent Fiorentina who were determined and motivated," Totti wrote on his official website.

A packed schedule in the upcoming weeks welcomes the Lupi as they have qualified for the semi-final of the Coppa Italia as well as the next round of the Europa League.

"From now on it will be crucial to be able to count on a full squad," the 33-year-old said.

"We'll play very often and will need all our energy for the upcoming games."
