Lippi unlikely to return to Juventus
Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has claimed that Marcello Lippi will not join Juve after the World Cup.
Moggi, who was ruled to be the main culprit in the Calciopolis scandal, dismissed speculation that Juventus will be offering Italy coach Lippi a director's role after Italy returns from the World Cup in South Africa.
The rumours seemed to have prompted to the Italian FA to begin looking for Lippi's replacement.
Speaking on Studio Stadio, Moggi said: "At the end of the season Lippi will not return to Juventus either as a Coach or as a director.
"He might do little in South Africa because the material available to him isn't extraordinary, but it certainly won't be his fault.
"As for his recent argument with Inter, I say that he did well in not going to Appiano Gentile because there are no Italian players at Inter who enter into his plans.
"For now, Santon and Balotelli are not part of the Italy squad."
Moggi also had some harsh words directed at the present Juventus team, saying that it was the players who got Ciro Ferrara the sack.
"Juventus are playing badly because in order to play Diego they line up with a trequartista instead of in a 4-4-2 which would be far more agreeable
"The team is now lacking self-esteem. To lighten the tension it was necessary to bring in a Coach who is more cheerful and dynamic than Zaccheroni, who I would never have hired.
"Anyway Zaccheroni's results are showing that Ciro Ferrara isn't guilty of creating the current situation," Moggi concluded.
