Mourinho: League result was fair

Jose Mourinho believes that Inter Milan’s single point against Parma following their 1-1 draw was the correct result.

Mourinho was surprisingly satisfied with walking away with one point from the match held at the Ducali's Stadio Ennio Tardini.

"I think that the result is the right one. We came onto the pitch to win, and to win quickly," Mourinho told TMW after the match. "It was not an easy game after having played Fiorentina last week in the Coppa Italia, and Cagliari on Sunday.

"We deserved to win in the first half, but Parma found Antonio Mirante in great form. In the second half, the match was more open, and then things occurred which made it difficult to close the match out.

"I am not angry with my players, but am moderately satisfied. The Parma players deserved a point for everything they did on the pitch."

Mourinho quickly turned his attention to the Serie A table, and said that the Nerazzurri only need to outlast their rivals.

"The campaign is now closing, and we can safeguard this lead that we have built up over Roma and Milan," he concluded.
