"Juventus rebuilding a long process"
Former Juventus goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi says it will be several years before the team can reclaim their former glories.
Juventus have been in something of a tailspin in the recent year with resulted in the sacking for coach Ciro Ferrara after a very short time in charge.
The Bianconeri have been eliminated from the Champions League as well as the Coppa Italia and lie seventh in Serie A - a massive 17 points behind leaders Inter Milan.
With these problems in mind, Tacconi does not see a quick revival in the making.
"It will take time, maybe even years, before the club returns to being Juventus," he told Radio Erre 2.
"It's obvious that they are in a state of confusion and it will be difficult to recover from this."
"When Juventus came back to Serie A they should have built a team straight away, buying real champions. They needed to spend during the period," he added.
"Those who stayed did well, but the club should have made important buys."
Tacconi was especially vocal on the sacking of Claudio Ranieri - the coach before Ciro Ferrara.
"As for Ranieri, it was a mistake to sack him in that way. What an error."
