Juventus are preparing to launch a swap deal in which they would give Diego to Bayern Munich in exchange for Franck Ribery.

Diego, an attacking midfielder was targetted by the Bundesliga side last summer, but Juventus swooped in at the last minute.

Now, according to reports in El Mundo Deportivo, the Bianconeri could be prepared be offer him the Brazilian to Bayern in exchange for coveted striker Franck Ribery.

Ribery is on the radar of most big European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea, but Diego could tilt the balance in Juventus' favour.

The Frenchman himself has not made any assertions about the club he would like to go to, saying he would prefer to address the matter after the World Cup.

He has also gone on record to say that only success with Bayern Munich on the pitch would keep him with the Bavarians.
