AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani believes that AC Milan can win the Serie A title, if recent history is to be believed.

Milan were dumped out of the Champions League after a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United on Wednesday.

The elimination leaves the Rossoneri with just the Serie A to compete for and Galliani says that this situation is comparable to their championship run in 2004, when they were eliminated from Europe's elite competition by Deportivo La Coruna, only to win the Scudetto later on.

"Now you will see that it will be like what happened after La Coruna, we will win the Scudetto," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

Milan are now second to Inter in the Serie A standings, four points behind the league-leaders.

Meanwhile, Alessandro Nesta has gone to seek help from Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, a specialist that has worked with Francesco Totti, to have his knee checked at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome.
