Totti: Title race not over yet
Roma captain Francesco Totti has reacted strongly to suggestions that the Serie A title is now beyond his team's grasp.
Roma had a great chance to close the gap on league leaders Inter Milan after the latter lost 3-1 to Catania.
However, Totti's side failed to take significant advantage of the result - being held to a 3-3 draw by lowly Livorno. Despite this setback tha striker is confident that his team can still launch a stirring comeback in the title race.
Writing in his weekly column for Il Corriere dello Sport, Totti commented: The league is still wide open from the top to the bottom of the standings: Scudetto, Champions League, Europa League and survival.
"From now until the end of the season there is all to play for and anything can spring up surprises."
Totti himself is currently on the sidelines with a knee injury.
"I'm recovering and trying to develop a sufficient fitness condition."
"Of course, I'd like to be at the team's disposal as soon as possible. But this will be done at the right moment, between the end of March and the beginning of April," revealed Totti.
