Serie A club Juventus are looking to strengthen their attacking options by signing Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.

Juve have been on the lookout for a striker ever since the transfer window opened in May.

Their top choice was Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko but after the Bundesliga side issued repeated hands-off warnings, the Turin club finally called off their pursuit.

Now Il Corriere dello Sport reports they have turned their attention to Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who has not had the best of times so far at the Bernabeu.

With Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain shoving him into the background, the French striker failed to establish himself in the side.

Although coach Jose Mourinho has yet to make any public announcement regarding the player, it does seem likely that his career is headed away from the club.

A move to Juventus would certainly mean far more playing time and perhaps the chance to take the club back to its dizzying heights of yore.
