Marco Borriello heads to Roma
AC Milan confirmed that Italian striker Marco Borriello will play on loan at Roma this season.
The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the signing of Brazilian winger Robinho to AC Milan, forced Borriello to consider a move elsewhere.
A statement from AC Milan read: "AC Milan announces it has loaned Marco Borriello to Roma for the 2010-11 campaign."
The 28-year-old came close to signing for Juventus but the deal fell through earlier today with Borriello unwilling to join the Turin giants on a loan spell.
However, Borriello has joined Roma on loan with the Eternal City club having an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
