Juventus look to maintain top spot

Juventus will look to maintain their spot at the top of the Serie A when they visit Napoli on Saturday.

AC Milan were rocked this week by the news that Antonio Cassano has a heart problem.

Cassano will undergo surgery after being admitted to Milan's Policlinico hospital on Saturday night, just hours after his team's 3-2 win at Roma, having developed problems with his vision, speech and movement.

Without the striker, Milan host Catania on Sunday.

Second-placed Udinese have won all of their games at the Stadio Friuli this season and that's where they will take on Siena.

Should Udinese, who lie one point behind Juve, fail to win on Sunday, Lazio could leapfrog them into second provided the Romans beat Parma in the Eternal City.

Cesena fans will be hoping the arrival of Daniele Arrigoni will spark their team into life.

Arrigoni replaced coach Marco Giampaolo, who was sacked after Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Parma.

Cesena lie at the foot of the standings and hope to clinch their first win of the campaign at home to Lecce on Sunday.

Sunday's 4-1 loss at Siena was Chievo's third consecutive defeat and left coach Domenico Di Carlo under pressure heading into this weekend's game against Fiorentina.

Cagliari will look to end their four-match winless run when they travel to Bergamo to face Atalanta on Sunday.

Palermo moved up to fifth place in Serie A with a solid 3-1 win at home to Bologna.

Eran Zahavi put the home side in front after 13 minutes while further goals from Matias Silvestre (52) and Josip Ilicic (74) sealed the victory before Gaston Ramirez scored a late consolation for the visitors.

The defeat was only Bologna coach Stefano Pioli's second since he took charge a month ago.

In Saturday's other game, Roma surged into the top half of the table with a 2-0 win at Novara.

Bojan Krkic (73) and Pablo Osvaldo (76) were on target to earn Luis Enrique's side all three points against their plucky hosts, who remain inside the bottom three.
