Ibra regret over 'stupid' mistake

Ibra regret over 'stupid' mistake

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits it was 'stupid' of him to slap Napoli's Salvatore Aronica on the face during Sunday's goalless draw.

AC Milan to appeal Ibra ban

Ibrahimovic was rightly sent off for the off-the-ball incident and has been handed a three-match ban for violent conduct.

Milan have already indicated they will contest the ban which if enforced would see their leading scorer miss the Serie A games at Udinese and Cesena as well as the home clash against table-toppers Juventus on February 25.

The Sweden international, who has scored 15 goals this season, has also now come out and expressed remorse for his behavior.

"I did a stupid thing," Ibrahimovic told Striscia la Notizia on Canale 5.

"It happens, it happens. [But] I have to learn from my mistakes. I don't need the television cameras to know what I've done.

"I made a mistake."

Ibrahimovic will be available for selection for Milan's Coppa Italia semi-final clash with Juventus on Wednesday.
