Mourinho lures Lampard
Jose Mourinho has begun his search for new players at Internazionale and is keen to bring Frank Lampard to Italy.
Things are heating up in West London as the imminent arrival of new Chelsea manager, Luis Felipe Scolari has alerted former manager, Jose Mourinho, who is keen to take a few of his former charges to the San Siro.
Mourinho's priority is a holding midfielder and he has been openly tempting England midfielder, Frank Lampard, to make a move to Italy and reunite with him.
According to Tuttosport, Mourinho recently spoke to Lampard and tried to convince the midfielder to move to San Siro as the coach told his former star: "Come to Inter, you will not finish second here."
It is said that Nerazzuri transfer guru, Marco Branca has proposed a US$9 million per year contract to Lampard and the Italian champions are also looking at FIFA ruling, Article 17, in order to try and sign the midfielder for a regulated sum of US$12 million.
However, it may not be necessary to get FIFA involved as Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich is a keen admirer of Inter's young striking sensation, Mario Balotelli and is rumoured to be willing to give up Lampard if the youngster is included in a part-exchange deal.
Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Essien are also on Inter's radar with Inter president Massimo Moratti willing to splash the cash in order to make Mourinho's Inter reign a successful one.
