Milan back in for Ronnie
Milan are back in the hunt for the signature of Brazilian ace Ronaldinho after initially cooling their interest in him.
The Serie A club had previously stated that Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor was their only summer target, but that stance has now shifted.
Barcelona player Ronaldinho has been told he is surplus to requirements at Barcelona by new coach Pep Guardiola, with Manchester City just one of a number of leading clubs keen to secure his services.
Milan have re-ignited their interest following the intervention of coach Carlo Ancelotti, but if they land the World Cup winner then their interest in Gunners star Adebayor will be shelved.
"There is a 'yes' from coach Carlo Ancelotti to go for the Brazilian," Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It's Ronaldinho or Adebayor. Buying one excludes taking the other.
"Ancelotti is ready to build a Milan with Ronaldinho and without Adebayor."
But Galliani insists they will not meet Barca's current asking price for Ronaldinho.
He added: "We will not pay the 35million euros (US$55m) wanted by Barcelona. This sum must fall."
