Bologna in hunt for Nakamura
Bologna are keen to secure the services of Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura, according to the club's president.
Nakamura, who joined the Parkhead club from Italian outfit Reggina in 2005, has been the subject if intense transfer speculation in recent weeks, with a host of leading European clubs hot on the 30-year-old's trail.
With the Japan international's reputation higher than ever, newly promoted Bologna have wasted little time in confirming their desire to bring Nakamura back to Italy.
"We want to build a great team at Bologna and the first new face I want on board is Nakamura," club president Alfredo Cazzola told the Daily Record:newspaper.
"We have already formalised our offer to Celtic, so they know the conditions of the proposed transfer.
"We are waiting to hear back from Celtic about the offer once they've discussed it with the player. We hope they'll give us permission to speak to Nakamura. If they do we'll contact him to discuss the move."
During his time with Celtic, Nakamura has bagged three Scottish Premier League as well and also enjoying Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup successes.
