Pirlo is asking Milan for a pay rise along with a new contract and agent Tullio Tinti feels he should be given what he is asking for.

With Milan recently voicing concerns over their finances though, they may well be unwilling to give in to Pirlo's demands.

However, The 29-year-old talisman has suggested that he may leave the club if his demands are not met.

"If Pirlo was for sale, all the best clubs in the world would be after him," said Tinti.

"Andrea has a top-player wage but this year, Kaka has been given figures much higher than Pirlo.

"I believe that the top-players should be treated the same more or less.

"I don't think this will lead to falling out with Milan. Galliani understands and he is sensible when it comes to the transfer market.

"He also knows when a player is worth plenty and how to treat him."

Pirlo, along with his agent and other representatives are currently in talks with the Milan management over the conditions of his new deal.

Despite the speculation that Pirlo's demands may cause a rift between club and player, reports suggest that the talks are going well and that a new deal should be hammered out by next week.
